Create a deployment
A deployment delivers releases (software updates) to device groups. A deployment represents the server-side model that manages device updates. Once a deployment is created, DigiCert® Device Trust Manager rolls out the release to both static and dynamic device groups.
Sign in to DigiCert® ONE as a Solution Administrator.
In DigiCert ONE, in the Manager menu (grid at top right), select Device Trust.
In the Device Trust Manager menu, select Software updates > Deployments.
Select Create deployment.
Enter a Deployment name and, optionally, provide a description.
Choose a Division to associate with this deployment.
Choose a Device group that will receive this deployment update. All devices associated with the selected device group will receive the release update.
Choose a Release to deploy to the selected device group.
Click Next.
On the Deployment settings step, click Create deployment.
When you click Create deployment, the deployment is made available to the selected device group in Device Trust Manager. Devices running TrustEdge agent in service mode will automatically receive and process the release and its associated artifacts. To manually invoke this process, run sudo trustedge agent
on the device.
Tipp
To monitor the progress of a deployment in Device Trust Manager, go to Software updates > Deployments and select the specific deployment. This page displays the deployment settings and provides real-time status updates, showing both in-progress and completed devices.
