Content Signing Service

Content Signing Service (earlier known as PDF Service 2.0) lets you sign documents using DigiCert® Document Trust Manager REST API. It calculates the hash of the document and embeds the signed hash or signature with elements required for establishing the validity of a signature such as Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) response, certificate chain, and timestamp.

Download Content Signing Service

  1. Sign in to DigiCert ONE.

  2. Navigate to: Document Trust > Resources > Client tool repository.

  3. Select the Content Signing Service tile.

  4. On the details page, pull the Content Signing Service image using the command mentioned.

Signing algorithms

Content Signing Service supports the following signing algorithms:

Signing algorithm

Description

1.2.840.113549.1.1.1 RSA

If you use this algorithm, you’re required to specify the hash algorithm separately in the Sign Hash API call.

1.2.840.113549.1.1.11 RSA with SHA256

This algorithm is already included so it doesn’t need to be specified.
