System scans
System scans use DigiCert agents to provide a comprehensive cryptographic discovery solution for your host systems, including:
Server certificates
Device certificates
User and S/MIME certificates
Code signing certificates
Discovered assets get added to your DigiCert® Trust Lifecycle Manager inventory. Server certificates are analyzed for security-related issues.
You control when each scan runs, which asset types it looks for, and where it looks for them:
Filesystems
Windows operating system certificate stores
Archive files
Keystores
System scans support selecting Windows (CAPI) locations and certificate stores for operating system certificate discovery. You can also configure key store credentials to discover certificates and keys in password-protected key stores.
To help organize and manage discovered assets, you can assign them to different business units and select certificate assignment rules.
