Create service users

Service users are created to support automation workflows and authenticate using API keys (token IDs) and client authentication certificates.

If you have already created a service user with appropriate permissions, skip this step.

To create a service user for DigiCert® Trust Lifecycle Manager API access:

Open DigiCert® Account Manager.
Select Access > Service User > Create service user.
Enter the service user details in the form. Make sure to select Trust Lifecycle under DigiCert ONE Manager access.
On the Roles and permissions page, select the User and certificate manager role for Trust Lifecycle Manager. You may select additional user roles as desired.
Select Add user.
In the Service user token ID window, copy and securely save the ID.
Note
- The token ID is required for authentication with your REST API client application."
- The token ID appears only during creation and cannot be retrieved later if it is lost.
Select Close.

After creating the required service users, create a certificate profile for REST API.
