Understand what Software Trust Manager controls

Software Trust Manager protects and automates code-signing operations for your organization's software supply chain. It controls:

  • Keypair generation and signing operations through a validated cryptographic module.

  • Certificate hierarchies, certificate profiles, and certificate issuance.

  • Keypair profiles, key rotation, and team/user assignment of keypairs.

  • Signing operations for software artifacts and release approvals.

  • Product audit logs for keypair, certificate, and signing activity.

Software Trust Manager does not manage user accounts, sign-in methods, or credentials. Those are managed in Account Manager. A Software Trust Manager role does not grant Account Manager administrative permissions, and an Account Manager role does not grant access to Software Trust Manager.
