Step 3: DigiCert ONE API tokens and service users
Account Manager is where you add and manage API tokens and service users for DigiCert ONE.
You only need API tokens or service users if you plan to use the DigiCert ONE APIs, like the DigiCert® IoT Trust Manager API or the DigiCert® Software Trust Manager API. |
DigiCert ONE API tokens and service users allow you to integrate with DigiCert ONE and its Manager workflows.
API tokens
Administrators can create API tokens with the same permissions and scope as they have. You can use the API token to integrate with the DigiCert ONE API. Actions linked to the API token are logged under the administrator's username.
Service users
Service users are nonuser-related API tokens that don't belong to or inherit a specific user's permissions. Instead, you assign only the permission needed for the API integration. Actions linked to the service user are logged under the service user's friendly name.
Important: If the API token or service user expires or gets deleted or disabled, API integrations that use the token or service user will stop working. |
