For automation to run successfully, the ACME automation agent must be able to communicate with the CertCentral cloud service to communicate with Automation in your CertCentral account.
If you plan to install the ACME automation agent on a server that requires a proxy server to communicate outside your network, you will need to configure the ACME automation agent to use the proxy server.
To learn more about ACME automation, including system requirements and installers, see Set up ACME automation for an endpoint server or device.
In CertCentral, in the left main menu, go to Automation > Manage Automation.
On the Manage automation page, click Add automation.
On the Setup automation page, under Set up automation, click Select.
Under Yes, my server can be reached directly, click Yes.
Under Windows, click Download to download the automation agent.
Save the zip file to your computer, making sure to note the location.
Extract the contents of the zip file and run the DigiCert CertCentral Agent executable.
In the setup wizard, follow the instructions to install the agent on the certificate host.
After the agent is installed, the setup wizard immediately displays the activation screen.
