Create root and issuing CAs
If you already have access to an issuing CA on your account and have set it up with the “Issue unmanaged CA” setting, skip this step.
If you have not, reach out to your system administrator or DigiCert representative to create the required CA hierarchy and ensure the below configuration option is set.
Once you have the appropriate CA Manager permissions, enable the “Issue unmanaged CA” option:
Open CA Manager.
Under Manage CAs, click on ICAs and select your ICA name.
Click Issuance settings and select the Issue unmanaged CA checkbox.
