Operational summary

The summary at the top of the sensor details page shows:

  • Status: Current sensor status.

  • Version: Sensor software version.

  • License key: The license key used to activate the sensor.

  • Auto-update: Whether the sensor software is set to automatically update when a new version is available.

Sensor details sections

The remaining sensor details are organized into sections below the operational summary:

  • Sensor name: Name assigned to this sensor.

  • Business unit: The business unit this sensor is assigned to. Only admins assigned to this business unit can manage the sensor.

  • Operating system: Host operating system (OS) name.

  • Operating system version: The version of the host operating system (if known).

  • Host IP address: Active IPv4 and IPv6 addresses for the host system.

  • Sensor communication interval: The heartbeat interval at which this sensor contacts Trust Lifecycle Manager to learn about scheduled automation requests or updates (default is 120 seconds). DigiCert sensors use a pull communications model to sync with Trust Lifecycle Manager.

  • Proxy listening port: The port the sensor listens on when acting as a proxy server for DigiCert agents and other clients that request certificates from Trust Lifecycle Manager.

    Avviso

To see the proxy client settings the sensor uses to connect out to Trust Lifecycle Manager, refer to the config/proxy.properties file in the sensor installation directory on the host system.

  • Debug log: Whether the sensor is configured to enable more detailed debug-level logging.

  • Enable Server Sent Event Heartbeat: Whether server-sent events are enabled for the sensor. If enabled, the sensor receives real-time instructions from Trust Lifecycle Manager, enhancing the responsiveness and efficiency of the system. DigiCert recommends enabling this feature for sensors that use certificate authority (CA) connectors as part of the workflow, as it ensures more immediate communication and updates.

Download sensors report

A sensors report exports data about your DigiCert sensors to an XLS spreadsheet. You can use filters to control which sensors to include in the report.

To download a sensors report from Trust Lifecycle Manager:

  1. In the Trust Lifecycle Manager main menu, select Discovery & automation tools > Sensors.

  2. Use the column header filters in the table to control which sensors to include in the report.

  3. When the table shows the sensors you want to include, open the download icon on the top-right of the table and select Instant download. .

For each sensor, the report includes:

    Field

    Description

    ID

Globally unique ID for the sensor.

    Name

    Friendly name for the sensor.

    License key

License key used to activate the sensor.

    Status

    Current sensor status.

    Version

    Current sensor software version.

    Debug enabled

Whether detailed debug logging is enabled for the sensor.
