Software Trust Manager licenses

Software Trust Manager operates on a subscription licensing model, offering a range of licenses corresponding to different activities within your account. Understanding these licenses and their limits is essential for managing your accounts effectively.

License	Description	Consumption
Signature units	Signature units are relative to the number of hashes that are signed with a production keypair. Every hash that you sign consumes one signature unit.	DigiCert-hosted customers have a `soft limit` and can exceed the allotted number of resources, however this incurs additional overages. On-premises customers have a `hard limit` and won't be able to exceed the allotted number of resources.
Test signature units	Test signature units are relative to the number of hashes that are signed with a test keypair. Every hash you sign consumes one signature unit. Cryptographic units	Cryptographic units are a count of all operations performed by an account, which are related to cryptographic assets, excluding signatures. Cryptographic events include: Create a keypair Update a keypair Export a keypair Import keypair Create a certificate Update a certificate Import a certificate Revoke a certificate Generate a CSR	DigiCert-hosted customers have a `soft limit` and can exceed the allotted number of resources, however this incurs additional overages. On-premises customers have a `hard limit` and won't be able to exceed the allotted number of resources.
HSM keypair units	HSM keypair units refer to how many keypairs you create on our HSMs. We provide sufficient space for the number of public trust certificates you are licensed to create as part of your Software Trust license. The more signature units you buy, the more public certificates and HSM keypair space you will be allocated.	DigiCert-hosted customers have a `hard limit` and can’t exceed the allotted number of resources unless Sales amends your license. On-premises customers have a `hard limit` and can’t exceed the allotted number of resources unless Sales amends your license.
Threat detection (GB)	Threat detection units are calculated in GB. For every GB that they scan, 1 threat detection unit is consumed.	DigiCert-hosted customers have a `soft limit` and can exceed the allotted number of resources, however this incurs additional overages. On-premises customers have a `hard limit` and won't be able to exceed the allotted number of resources.
