Diagnostics

Use this feature to simplify troubleshooting and issue diagnosis. Diagnostics automatically collects all relevant configuration details, user information, and log files into a password-protected ZIP file that includes:

  • Diagnostics.json: Detailed information about the machine, operating system, RequestBuffer database, Active Directory, and registry.

  • DCOM permission information: Comprehensive list of DCOM permissions, including AppID-specific and machine-wide settings.

  • Group Policy information: Information about the configured Group Policy Objects (GPOs).

  • User information: Information of the logged-in user such as groups, claims, and privileges.

  • AEServer.log: A set of log files capturing AEServer activity for the past seven days.

  • AEConfig.log: Comprehensive log related to AEConfig.

  • ConfigureAES.log: The log file generated during the latest execution of the ConfigureAES.bat file.

Before saving the Diagnostics report:

Ensure that the properties of the log file are configured. You can skip this section if there is no need to change the logging configuration. Fro more details, see Log properties configuration options.

  1. If the Log level is set to Basic - Info level, change it to Detailed - Debug level by selecting the Update log level to Debug button.

  2. After changing to Detailed - Debug level, retry the failing operation to regenerate the log.

To archive the Diagnostics report:

  1. Click on Diagnostics and select OK to proceed with diagnostics.

  2. Enter password and Re-enter to generate the encrypted archive(minimum 8 characters).

Optionally, click on Browse… to edit the filename and the location of the archive to be saved.

  3. Click OK to start generating the diagnostics archive.

    주의

To open Diagnostics archive file on Windows, you will need an application that supports AES256 encryption because the native File Explorer does not support this encryption method. A specialized archiving application is required.

If there are any issues, share the archive file with DigiCert technical support team for debugging.
