Download a certificate from your account

User these instructions to download a copy of your certificate.

  1. In your CertCentral account, go to the Orders page.

    In the sidebar menu, click Certificates > Orders.

  1. On the Orders page, use the filters and advanced search features to locate the certificate you want to download.

  1. In the Order # column of the certificate to want to download, click the Quick View link.

  1. In the Order # details pane (on the right), in the Download Certificate As dropdown, select the certificate format you want to use.

    • Best format for
      Use this option to download the certificate in the format recommended for the server platform or software that was selected when you ordered the certificate.
      Save the certificate file to your server or workstation, making sure to note the location.
    • .crt (best for Apache/Linux)
      Use this option to download the certificate in a .crt format, best for Apache/Linux platforms.
      Save the certificate file to your server or workstation, making sure to note the location.
    • .pb7 (best for Microsoft and Java)
      Use this option to download the certificate in a .p7b format best for Microsoft and Java platforms.
      Save the certificate file to your server or workstation, making sure to note the location.

  1. In the Download Certificate As dropdown, click More Options to see more Server Platform options, File Type options, or to download only the Certificate, the Intermediate Certificate, or the Root Certificate.

  1. Download a combined certificate file

    In the Download Certificate window, under Combined Certificate Files, use any of these options to download the combined SSL certificate file.

    1. Platform specific
      1. In the Server Platform dropdown, select the server you are installing the SSL/TSL certificate on and then click Download.
      2. Save the file to your server/workstation, making sure to note the location.
    2. File type specific
      1. In the File Type dropdown, select the file format you want to download the SSL/TLS certificate in and then click Download.
      2. Save the file to your server/workstation, making sure to note the location.
  1. In the Download Certificate window, under Individual Certificate Files, use one of these any of these options to download an individual certificate file.

    1. Server certificate file
      Under Certificate, click the Download link. Save the server certificate file to your server or workstation, making sure to note the location.
    2. Intermediate certificate file
      Under Intermediate Certificate, click the Download link. Save the intermediate certificate file to your server or workstation, making sure to note the location.
    3. Root certificate file
      Under Root Certificate, click the Download link. Save the root certificate file to your server or workstation, making sure to note the location.
  1. Congratulations! You've successfully downloaded your SSL/TLS certificate
