System maintenance on 6 April 2019

On 6 April 2019, we are upgrading internal systems that support MSSL and CWS. Maintenance will affect all certificate ordering, order checking, and fulfillment services. Our maintenance activities will improve performance and compliance while diminishing operational risk.

The maintenance and downtime are scheduled for 6 April 2019 from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM Pacific Time.

  • During maintenance - All services will be unavailable, including the ability to request, approve, and revoke certificates.
  • After maintenance - MSSL and CWS service IP addresses will be updated. Make sure your admins can reach the new IP addresses. We'll provide the new IP addresses soon.

The downtime will prevent your organization from issuing/revoking certificates but our revocation validation services (CRL and OCSP) and Seal services will continue to operate normally – so current/existing certificates will function without disruption from this move.

For details on this maintenance window, see the article System maintenance coming in April 2019.

Domain validation improvements

We are improving current domain validation processes to help make sure the domains in your account remain in good standing and there is no disruption to your certificate services.

New domain validation methods

When a domain is pending or expires in 60 days, choose the domain control validation (DCV) method through the console.

  • Email DCV method - DigiCert sends an authorization email to the registered owners of the domain after verifying WHOIS information. You can resend a DCV email through the console.
  • DNS TXT DCV method - Create a unique DNS TXT record on your domain's public DNS and add a random value verification token. DigiCert validates the domain’s record and the random value. You generate the random value at the console.
  • File DCV method - Host a file on your domain that includes a random value verification token. DigiCert validates the hosted file and the random value. You generate the random value at the console

Domain report

Run a report that includes all your domains in your account.
