Create a certificate profile
To perform this action, you must have a user role that contains the Solution administrator permission.
Certificate profiles define essential settings for certificate issuance. You can set default values for subject distinguished names, customize the certificate validity period, and enable or disable specific extensions as needed.

Before you create a certificate profile, you need at least one certificate template.
Certificate templates are created and customized for your organization by DigiCert®. Use one of those templates to create a certificate profile.
To create a certificate profile:
In the Device Trust Manager menu, go to Certificate management > Certificate settings > Certificate templates.
Select Create.
Select an existing Certificate template.
Select Create a certificate profile.
On the Create a certificate profile page, provide a name for your certificate profile.
This name is how you identify the profile on the Certificate profiles section and in the forms where a certificate profile is required, such as the certificate management policy page.
Select which divisions can use the certificate profile.
All divisions: The certificate profile is available for use by all divisions in the account, making it an account-wide profile.
Specific divisions: Select one or more divisions that should have access to the certificate profile. The profile will only be available to the chosen divisions.
Configure other parameters as needed. For example, you could customize the Signature algorithms, Certificate validity, and Renewal settings.
When done, select Next to proceed to the Advanced certificate profile settings section.
Under Advanced certificate profile settings, configure fields as needed. For example, you could enable the common name, set it as required, and specify a default value.
When done, select Next to proceed to the Review and confirm section.
Verify the summary of the certificate profile settings you have selected.
When done, select:
Save profile: Creates the certificate profile.
The completed certificate profile is listed under Certificate management > Certificate settings > Certificate profiles
Create and select: Create the certificate profile and proceed to the Certificate management policy creation section.
You can now use the certificate profile when creating certificate management policies for your devices. The certificate profile will appear on the Certificate profiles section.
