Enrollment statuses

The status indicates the current state of an enrollment request. You can view the status of an enrollment in DigiCert® Trust Lifecycle Manager in the following ways:

  • Go to the Enrollments page, find the enrollment in the table, and check the Status column for it. If the Status column does not appear, select the settings icon on the top-right of the table to add it.

  • Select an enrollment from the Enrollments table to view the details for it. The status is shown in the Enrollment details section of the details page.

Status

Description

Pending

The user has requested this enrollment, and it is awaiting approval by an administrator.

Pending 2nd approval

The user has requested this enrollment, and it has been approved by one administrator and is awaiting approval by a second administrator. This only occurs when the Enable Dual Admin Approval option is enabled for the certificate profile.

In Progress

Optional status for tracking purposes. Select a pending enrollment and change the status to In Progress if you want to make internal notes on the authentication and approval progress for an individual enrollment. Trust Lifecycle Manager will never set this status automatically.

Created

The enrollment has been created.

Rejected

An administrator rejected the enrollment.

Approved

The enrollment has been approved, but the certificate has not yet been retrieved by the end user or entity. Retrieving the certificate is the only remaining step, at which point this enrollment status will become Redeemed.

Expired

The enrollment code has expired. The enrollment expiration is determined by profile settings. Select Resend enrollment from the actions menu to send a new enrollment. This action is not available for the SCEP, EST, or REST API enrollment methods.

Redeemed

The enrollment has been approved, and the certificate has been retrieved by the end user or entity.

Locked

The enrollment has been locked due to too many failed attempts at entering the enrollment code. An enrollment request is automatically locked after five incorrect codes are entered.
