How do I move CWS discovery to CertCentral?

Overview for moving your sensors and scans to CertCentral

Managing discovery configuration in CertCentral is different from Complete Website Security, but we’ll make sure your important information—the IPs and networks you want to monitor—are transferred to CertCentral so you don’t have to do the work.

Moving your sensor and scan settings does not move certificate data discovered in previous CWS scans. However, CertCentral will be ready to scan your network again immediately following the sensor and scan transfer!

Transfer your CWS sensor and scan settings to CertCentral

  1. If you haven’t already, contact your account manager to set up your new CertCentral account.

  2. Explore the CertCentral console, including Discovery.

  3. Contact your account manager and let your rep know you’re ready to move your CWS sensor and scan settings to CertCentral.

  4. Make sure your CWS sensor software is up-to-date and your sensors are active without errors.

    How do I prepare my CWS sensors for CertCentral?

A recent sensor software update is required to migrate CWS sensor and scan settings.

  1. Sign in to your CertCentral account and go to the Discovery Dashboard. Click Import CWS discovery at the top of the page.

    How do my CWS discovery settings get transferred to CertCentral?

  2. If we’re unable to repoint a sensor to the CertCentral cloud service, you’ll need to manually repoint the sensor.

  3. Run new scans to bring new certificate discovery data into CertCentral.
