Where are my code signing certificates?

Manage your existing Symantec or Thawte code signing certificates

Where are my valid Symantec or Thawte code signing certificates?

Your current code signing certificates remain valid and you can continue to sign code with them until they expire. Continue to manage your valid certificates in your Symantec/Thawte account until April 29, 2020.

If you also manage TLS/SSL certificates and you imported them into your new CertCentral account, you noticed code signing certificates were not included. We’re managing code signing certificates separately, so you won’t see them in your CertCentral account yet.

In May 2020, we'll help you move your code signing certificates into your DigiCert CertCentral account. In the meantime, here's what's happening and how to manage a certificate if it hasn’t been migrated to CertCentral yet:

  • On April 29, 2020, code signing certificates will no longer be available through Symantec Trust Center (STC), Thawte Certificate Center (TCC), Thawte Certificate Center Enterprise (TCCE), or other portals in the Symantec family of services.
  • If you need to renew a certificate, follow the instructions and links in the renewal email we send you.
  • If you need to revoke or replace a certificate—free for your valid certificates from your old account—contact customer support or your account manager to take care of it.
