To make it easier to plan your certificate-related tasks, here is the DigiCert Europe 2023 maintenance schedule.

The Europe schedule applies to the following DigiCert platforms and services:

QuoVadis CA systems:

The DigiCert Europe 2023 maintenance schedule does not affect the QuoVadis CA systems. Maintenance for these systems is done via a different maintenance schedule.

Why does DigiCert need to schedule maintenance windows?

DigiCert uses scheduled maintenance windows to perform maintenance with the potential to interrupt your DigiCert services.

Maintenance schedule guidelines:

  • Maintenance is scheduled for the first weekend of each month unless otherwise noted.

  • Each maintenance window is scheduled for 2 hours.

  • Although we have redundancies to protect your service, some DigiCert services may be unavailable.

  • Normal operations will resume once the maintenance is completed.

What can I expect to happen during a scheduled maintenance window?

Although we have redundancies in place to protect your services, some DigiCert services may be unavailable:

  • Platform and API access

  • Certificate validation

  • Certificate issuance

  • Websites (for example, digicert.com)

Note

Services will be restored as soon as the maintenance is completed.

What can I do?

Plan your certificate-related tasks accordingly:

  • Schedule high-priority orders, renewals, reissues, and duplicate issues outside the maintenance windows, including Automation events and Discovery scans.

  • Expect interruptions if you use APIs for immediate certificate issuance and automated tasks.

  • Subscribe to the DigiCert Status page for live maintenance updates. This subscription includes email alerts for when maintenance begins and when it ends.

  • If you need more information regarding these maintenance windows, contact your account manager or DigiCert Support.

QuoVadis infrastructure-related maintenance downtime

The infrastructure-related maintenance will take place at 10:00 and 17:00 UTC. At that time, the services listed below may be down for up to 120 minutes.

  • SIX Terravis – 10:00 – 11:00 UTC: We will begin the work at 10:00. Then SIX Terravis will be down for approximately 60 minutes.

  • QuoVadis Signing Service -- 17:00 – 19:00 UTC: We will begin the work at 17:00. Then the QuoVadis Signing Service may be down for up to 120 minutes.

What can I do?

Plan accordingly:

  • Schedule high-priority SIX Terravis and QuoVadis Signing Service tasks before or after the maintenance windows.

  • Expect interruptions if you use the APIs for SIX Terravis and QuoVadis Signing Service tasks.

  • To get live maintenance updates, subscribe to the DigiCert Status page. This subscription includes email alerts for when maintenance starts and when maintenance ends.

Services will be restored as soon as the maintenance is completed.

QuoVadis platform maintenance-related downtime

During the two-hour maintenance window, QuoVadis platform services will be down for up to 10 minutes in total while we do some infrastructure-related maintenance that requires service restarts: 5 minutes for a monthly patching restart and 5 minutes for a database restart.

What can I do?

Plan accordingly:

  • Schedule high-priority tasks before or after the maintenance windows.

  • Expect interruptions if you use the APIs for immediate certificate issuance and automated tasks.

  • To get live maintenance updates, subscribe to the DigiCert Status page. This subscription includes email alerts for when maintenance starts and when maintenance ends.

Services will be restored as soon as the maintenance is completed.

QuoVadis platform maintenance-related downtime

During the two-hour maintenance window, QuoVadis platform services will be down for approximately 5 minutes while we do some infrastructure-related maintenance that requires server restarts.

  • Expect interruptions if you use the APIs for immediate certificate issuance and automated tasks.
