CertCentral: Delete and deactivate domains
In CertCentral, use the Delete domain and Deactivate domain features to manage the domains in your account.
Deleting a domain
Need to remove a domain with a typo, or once a base domain is validated, do you want to remove its subdomains from your Domains page?
The Delete domain feature allows you to remove a domain from your account and, subsequently, hides it from the list of domains.
Items to note about the Delete domain feature:
It does not affect existing certificates that include the deleted domain.
It does not prevent you from re-adding the deleted domain to your account and getting a certificate for it.
Requesting new, reissue, or renewal certificates for a deleted domain may require you to revalidate the domain.
Deactivating a domain
Don’t want your CertCentral users requesting certificates for a domain?
The Deactivate domain feature allows you to block certificate issuance for a domain in your account.
Items to note about the Deactivate domain feature:
The domain remains in your account.
It does not affect existing certificates that include the deactivated domain.
It does not affect completed domain control validation (DCV) checks for the domain.
You can only get a new certificate for that domain, including duplicates and reissues, if you reactivate it.
