Switch your DigiCert ONE environment

You can switch between DigiCert ONE production and demo environments and across different regions.

Note

From version 1.1.0 of DigiCert ONE​​ Clients released on April 30,2025, you can select your environment directly in the app without the need for config file edits.

Use this table to find the correct sign in URLs for your region and environment type.

Switch production environments

DigiCert ONE Clients version 1.1.0 or higher, enables you to select a production environment:

  • On the first launch of DigiCert ONE Clients.

  • Right-click the DigiCert ONE Clients icon in taskbar menu or your system tray.

Tip

Production environments are available from the app menu. Use this configuration file method for demo environments.

To select or change a production environment:

  1. On the Select your sign in URL page, select the Environment drop-down menu.

  2. Identify your Region.

    Your data residency and regulatory requirements usually determine this.

  3. Identify your sign in method.

    1. Select Standard authentication, if you sign in with a username and password or single sign-on (SSO).

    2. Select Client authentication, if you sign in with a client authentication certificate.

Tip

Not sure which environment to select?

Look for a welcome email from no-reply@digicert.com. It includes a Sign in button that directs you to the correct URL for your account. Match the URL to the URLs in the Environment drop-down menu.

Switch to demo environment

Use this method if:

  • You’re running DigiCert ONE Clients version earlier than 1.1.0.

  • You want to connect to a demo environment.

To change the DigiCert ONE environment

  1. Open the config.json file on your computer:

    [Your HOME]\.digicert-ucpc\config.json
  2. Edit dcone: Set this to the URL of the DigiCert ONE environment you want to use.

    Example:

    "dcone": "https://one.digicert.co.jp"
    
  3. Restart the DigiCert ONE​​ Clients app.

To reset to the US production environment

To restore the original US Production environment:

  1. Delete the config.json file:

    [Your HOME]\.digicert-ucpc\config.json
  2. Restart the DigiCert ONE​​ Clients app.
