Learn how to submit an organization for validation before requesting certificates for it.

First, you must add the organization to your account. Then you can submit the organization for validation. Learn how to add an organization to your CertCentral account.

After adding the organization to CertCentral, submit it for validation and authorize it to get specific types of certificates. Validating organizations before ordering certificates for them speeds up the certificate issuance process, as the organization validation part of the process is already complete.

  1. 在您的 CertCentral 帐户的侧栏菜单中，单击证书 > 组织。

    For CertCentral Subscription accounts, in the left main menu, go to the Validation > Organizations.

  2. 在组织页面上，单击您要提交验证并提供证书授权的组织的组织名称。

  3. 在组织详细信息页面上的提交以进行组织验证部分，选择您要 DigiCert 为组织进行的验证类型（证书）。

    • OV - 标准组织验证

    • Private SSL - DigiCert Private SSL 证书

    • DS – 文档签名验证

    • EV - 扩展组织验证 (EV)

  4. 添加已验证的联系人（EV / EV CS 和 CS）

    If submitting your organization for the following validations, you must also submit a verified contact for the validation type. Learn more about verified contacts.

    After submitting an individual as a verified contact for a certificate type (EV, EV CS, or CS), you can’t remove them.

    默认情况下，对 CertCentral 帐户启用允许使用非 CertCentral 帐户用户作为已验证的联系人功能。您可以在分区首选项页面上启用该功能（设置 > 首选项）。请参阅启用添加非 CertCentral 帐户用户作为已验证的联系人。

    1. 在组织联系人下，单击添加联系人链接。

    2. 在添加联系人窗口中，选择新建联系人。

    3. 添加联系人的名字、姓氏和职位名称。

    4. 完成后，单击添加。

  5. 添加已验证的联系人后，您可以添加（选中）或移除（取消选中）他们可以批准的证书类型（EV、EV CS 或 CS）。

  6. 完成后，单击提交验证。

What's next

Complete organization validation

DigiCert must validate and authenticate your authority to order certificates on behalf of the organization. To do this, we call a verified phone number to speak with someone who represents the organization, such as the organization contact.

To get organization consent:

  • Answer the organization/validation phone call (preferred method).*

    • After submitting your organization for validation, ensure that the organization contact and the company receptionist are aware that you've submitted your organization for validation.

    • Let them know that DigiCert needs to call a verified phone number to speak with one of them to finish the organization validation/authentication process.

  • Respond to the organization consent message.

    • If the DigiCert validation agent can't reach someone, they leave a message that includes a call-back phone number and a verification code.

    • If the DigiCert validation agent leaves a message, make sure that the organization contact responds to the message and provides us with the verification code.
