Monitor certificate renewal and replacement success

Verify that automated certificate renewal and replacement complete successfully before certificates expire. Regular monitoring ensures continuous certificate coverage across all environments.

Confirm successful renewal or replacement

A successful renewal or replacement results in the following:

  • A newly issued certificate associated with the automation profile

  • Deployment of the updated certificate to the configured environment

  • Continued certificate validity without service interruption

Review renewal and replacement activity

  1. In the CertCentral main menu, go to Automation > Automated IPs.

  2. Filter the view by Completed status to confirm recent successful renewals and replacements.

  3. Review the certificate expiration dates to confirm the new certificate is valid.

  4. In the CertCentral menu, go to Certificates > Orders.

  5. Locate the renewed or replaced certificate.

  6. Confirm the certificate status is Issued and the end date reflects the new validity period.

Notice

For Subscription accounts, go to My Digital Trust Products > Certificates to access certificate orders instead of Certificates > Orders.

When renewal or replacement does not complete

If a certificate is not renewed or replaced before expiration, confirm the following:

  • The certificate remains associated with an active automation profile

  • Validation requirements are satisfied and current

  • Account approval settings allow automated issuance

  • The account balance is sufficient to process the renewal
