Before configuring CertCentral, confirm the following are ready:
Organization
Legal organization name matching official registration records
Organization address and phone number
Organization contact name and email address
Verification contact name and email address
Domains
Important
As of February 24, 2026, the domain validation reuse period is limited to 199 days. Learn more about Domain validation requirements and reuse periods.
List of domains to validate for certificate issuance
Access to DNS settings or web server for domain control validation (DCV)
Users and access
List of users to add to CertCentral and their intended roles
Administrator identified for initial account configuration
Account-type specific
Enterprise: Division structure defined. Plan department and team segmentation before setup
Partner: Subaccount naming conventions agreed and billing model confirmed
Subscription: Certificate pool allocation reviewed and confirmed
Legacy: Account representative consulted on migration options before proceeding
Billing
Payment method confirmed: account credit or credit card
For Azure Key Vault integrations: account credit confirmed as payment method
