CertCentral notifications
CertCentral notifications inform users about certificate lifecycle events, account activity, validation status, and renewal timelines. Notifications are generated automatically based on account settings, certificate status, and user roles.
Notification types
CertCentral sends notifications for the following event types:
Certificate lifecycle events: issuance, expiration, renewal, revocation, or replacement
Renewal notifications: reminders before certificate expiration based on configured intervals
Escalation notifications: alerts sent to additional recipients when certificates approach expiration and renewal actions are incomplete
Validation and approval notifications: updates for domain control validation (DCV), organization validation, and approval requests
Account and system notifications: account activity, billing events, and system updates
Notification delivery
CertCentral delivers notifications using contact information associated with user accounts and configured recipients. Delivery methods include email notifications sent to registered email addresses and notifications sent to designated escalation or approval contacts.
Notification scope and control
Notification behavior can be controlled at different levels in CertCentral:
Account level: defines default notification behavior for the account
User level: controls which users receive specific notifications
Order level: controls notifications for individual certificate orders
Access to view or modify notification settings depends on assigned user roles. Only users with the required permissions can configure account-level notification settings.
