Add domains

Important

As of February 24, 2026, the domain validation reuse period is limited to 199 days. Learn more about Domain validation requirements and reuse periods.

Add a new domain to your CertCentral account and submit it for domain control validation.

Before you begin

  • The organization to which the domain will be assigned must exist in your account before adding the domain. See View or edit an organization.

  • For OV, EV, or private TLS/SSL certificates, submit the organization for validation before adding domains to ensure the domain can be used immediately for certificate requests.

Add a domain

  1. In the CertCentral main menu,

    • For Enterprise, Partner, and Legacy accounts: go to Certificates > Domains.

    • For Subscription accounts: go to Validation > Domains.

  2. Select Add domain.

  3. Enter the domain name.

  4. Assign the domain to an organization.

  5. Select the DCV method to use for validation.

  6. Select Submit for validation.

Complete domain validation before requesting public TLS/SSL certificates for the domain.
