Projects

Projects provide teams with a structured and collaborative environment to manage threat detection scans and releases for a specific software development project.

Create a project

Create a project to store all your related software scans, such as different versions of the same software. The software project will be referred to by a descriptive name and an alias to allow for easy reference.

You can create a project in Software Trust Manager or SMCTL:

Edit project

After creating a project, you can edit any of the fields above, by following this procedure:

  1. Sign in to DigiCert ONE.

  2. Navigate to the Manager menu (top right) > Software Trust.

  3. In the left navigation bar, select Account > Projects.

  4. Hover on the project name until icons appear to the right.

  5. Select the edit icon.

  6. Edit the relevant fields.

  7. Select Update.

Add releases

To associate specific releases with a related software project:

  1. Sign in to DigiCert ONE.

  2. Navigate to the Manager menu (top right) > Software Trust.

  3. In the left navigation bar, select Account > Projects.

  4. Click on the project name.

  5. Select + Add releases.

  6. Tick the checkboxes of all the releases related to this software project.

  7. Select Add.

Anmerkung

If the one or more of the releases that you have selected are already associated with another project, you will prompted to confirm if you want to move the selected releases to the current software project.

Add threat detection scans

To associate specific threat detection scans with a related software project:

  1. Sign in to DigiCert ONE.

  2. Navigate to the Manager menu (top right) > Software Trust.

  3. In the left navigation bar, select Account > Projects.

  4. Click on the project name.

  5. Select + Add threat detection scans.

  6. Tick the checkboxes of all the releases related to this software project.

  7. Select Add.

Anmerkung

If the one or more of the threat detection scans that you have selected are already associated with another project, you will prompted to confirm if you want to move the selected threat detection scans to the current software project.

Delete from project

To remove a release or threat detection scan from a specific project:

  1. Sign in to DigiCert ONE.

  2. Navigate to the Manager menu (top right) > Software Trust.

  3. In the left navigation bar, select Account > Projects.

  4. Click on the project name.

  5. Hover on the release name or scan alias until icons appear to the right.

  6. Select the delete icon.

Anmerkung

The release or threat detection will still exist in Software Trust Manager but will no longer be associated with the project.

Move to different project

To move a release or threat detection scan to a different project:

  1. Sign in to DigiCert ONE.

  2. Navigate to the Manager menu (top right) > Software Trust.

  3. In the left navigation bar, select Account > Projects.

  4. Click on the project name.

  5. Hover on the release name or scan alias until icons appear to the right.

  6. Select the move to different project icon.

  7. In the pop-up window, select project you want to move to.

  8. Select Move.

View Threat detection scan or release from project

To view a release or threat detection scan associated with a specific project:

  1. Sign in to DigiCert ONE.

  2. Navigate to the Manager menu (top right) > Software Trust.

  3. In the left navigation bar, select Account > Projects.

  4. Click on the project name.

  5. Scroll down to the Releases or Threat detection scans section.

  6. Hover on the release name or scan alias until icons appear to the right.

Project statuses

There are currently only two project statuses.

Status

Description

In progress

This is the default status of a project after creation and allows you to assign releases and threat detection scans to this project.

Paused

When you pause a project releases and scans already assigned to the project will remain linked. However, you will not be able to assign new releases or threat detection scans to this project  unless you resume this project.

Pause project

A possible use case for pausing a project is when you have completed a project or your project is not currently being worked on.

To pause a project:

  1. Sign in to DigiCert ONE.

  2. Navigate to the Manager menu (top right) > Software Trust.

  3. In the left navigation bar, select Account > Projects.

  4. Hover on the project name until icons appear to the right.

  5. Select the pause icon.

Resume project

When you resume a paused project it will go back into In progress status.

To pause a project:

  1. Sign in to DigiCert ONE.

  2. Navigate to the Manager menu (top right) > Software Trust.

  3. In the left navigation bar, select Account > Projects.

  4. Hover on the project name until icons appear to the right.

  5. Select the resume icon.

Delete project

To permanently delete project:

  1. Sign in to DigiCert ONE.

  2. Navigate to the Manager menu (top right) > Software Trust.

  3. In the left navigation bar, select Account > Projects.

  4. Hover on the project name until icons appear to the right.

  5. Select the delete icon.

Achtung

Releases and threat detection scans previously associated with the deleted project will still exist in Software Trust Manager but will no longer be associated with the project.
