Import domains from UltraDNS to CertCentral
When you connect UltraDNS to CertCentral, you can import domains to CertCentral as needed for automating your CertCentral domain validation.
Step 1: In UltraDNS, make domains visible to CertCentral for import
In your UltraDNS Management Portal, go to Domains.
On the Domains page, select the domain to import/link to CertCentral. In the Edit domain window, select Visible to CertCentral.
Step 2: Import domains from UltraDNS to CertCentral for automatic domain validation
In CertCentral, in the left menu, go to Certificates > Domains.
On the Domains page, on the Domains available for import tab, review the domains made visible to CertCentral. When ready, select Import and automate domains.
On the Import domain from UltraDNS to automate page, select Import and automate domains. Then, select Assign domains to an organization.
In the Assign domains to an organization window, in the Select an organization menu, select the organization to assign the domains to. Then select OK.
What’s next
When you’re done importing domains, CertCentral takes you to the Domains page. On this page, your imported domains are assigned a domain ID and submitted for domain validation using the DNS TXT record DCV method. Each domain has a Pending validation status.
At the top of the hour, CertCentral automatically validates your UltraDNS-linked domains for the first time. Then, the revalidation process runs weekly, ensuring your domains’ validation is always valid.
How the validation process works
CertCentral generates a random value for your UltraDNS domains and places it on each domain's DNS TXT record. Then, CertCentral checks the DNS TXT records for the value and finishes the domain validation.
