CertCentral account DCV settings

Configure the domain control validation (DCV) settings for your CertCentral account

DigiCert preconfigures the domain control validation (DCV) settings for your CertCentral account by default. For most customers, these default settings meet the needs of their TLS/SSL certificate process. However, you may update these settings as needed to align with the TLS certificate process for your organization.

CertCentral DCV settings:

  • DCV methods

Determine which methods are available for domain validation when requesting a certificate or adding domains to your account, such as verification email and DNS TXT record.

  • DCV verification email recipients

Configure which email recipients receive the approval emails when using the verification email DCV method to validate domains.

  • Domain validation scope

Set up the default domain validation behavior (validate base domains or exact domain names) when validating domains through the TLS certificate request process: new requests, renewals, and reissues.
