Manage guest access
Guest access lets a person manage an order without a CertCentral login. With an email address and order number, or the FQDN in the certificate, the person can download, reissue, or revoke the certificate. Enable guest access for all orders across your account, or for individual orders.
All contacts listed on an order are eligible for guest access. When you enable guest access, CertCentral creates a unique link for your account. Order contacts use the link to request guest access. For security, CertCentral sends an authentication email to the contact email address. The link in the email provides access for two hours.
Who should use guest access
As a best practice, create a CertCentral login for each user. A login gives you the most control and security. A login also gives users full access to CertCentral features.
When a login is impractical, guest access lets the contacts on an order manage that order without a login. Guest access allows management of a single order at a time. Guest access does not provide access to any other functionality.
Guest access allows management of existing orders only. To let people place new orders without a login, see Generate and manage guest URLs.
