Configure renewal notification settings
Configure when renewal notifications are sent and who receives them for certificates in your CertCentral account.
Set renewal notification timing
In the CertCentral main menu, go to Settings > Notifications.
On the Notifications page, select the Notification settings tab.
Expand Advanced notification settings.
In the Certificate lifecycle recipient settings section, configure the renewal notification timing for each certificate type.
Select Save settings.
CertCentral sends renewal notifications to configured recipients at the intervals specified.
Add additional renewal recipients
By default, CertCentral sends renewal notifications to the account administrator and the user who requested the certificate. To add additional recipients:
In the CertCentral main menu, go to Settings > Notifications.
On the Notifications page, select the Notification settings tab.
Expand Advanced notification settings.
Under the Certificate lifecycle recipient settings, add the email addresses of additional renewal notification recipients.
Select Save settings.
Additional recipients receive notifications at each configured renewal interval.
Notice
DigiCert recommends adding a distribution list as an additional renewal recipient rather than individual email addresses. A distribution list survives staff changes and ensures renewal notifications are never missed.
Make additional email field required on request forms
To prevent missed renewal notifications when the certificate owner is unavailable, make the additional email field required on certificate request forms:
In the CertCentral main menu, go to Settings > Preferences.
On the Preferences page, expand Advanced settings.
In the Certificate Requests section, under Additional email field, select Required.
Select Save settings.
Requestors must now add at least one additional email address when submitting certificate requests.
