Duplicate certificates
Request a duplicate certificate to obtain an additional copy of an issued certificate with the same or rearranged domains. Duplicate certificates do not require DigiCert to revoke the original or any previously issued certificates.
Before you begin
Domain and organization validation must be current before requesting a duplicate. Duplicate certificates are issued immediately and do not include a validation step after submission.
You cannot add domains when requesting a duplicate. To add domains, reissue the certificate first and then request the duplicate.
You can rearrange and remove domains on a duplicate certificate. DV certificates do not support duplicate certificates. To obtain another copy of a DV certificate, reissue the certificate instead.
For EV TLS certificates, the requester must be a validated verified contact who can approve certificates for the organization. The duplicate process does not include a verified contact approval step.
Notice
The duplicate certificate process is an immediate issuance process. If domain or organization validation has expired, you cannot request a duplicate. Reissue the certificate first to revalidate domains and organizations and then request the duplicate.
