Delete and restore a certificate management policy

To perform this action, you must have a user role that contains the Solution administrator permission.

If a certificate management policy is no longer needed, you can delete it. Deleting a certificate management policy removes it from forms requiring a certificate management policy, such as requesting a certificate. It also removes it from the list of Active profiles on the a Certificate management policies section.

Important

Deleting a certificate management policy does not affect certificate requests and renewals that rely on it. They will continue to work as expected.

  1. In the Device Trust Manager menu, go to Certificate management > Certificate settings > Certificate management policies.

  2. Select the certificate management policy you want to delete.

  3. Click More actions > Delete.

  4. In the Delete Certificate management policy confirmation dialog, click Delete Certificate management policy.

When you return to the Certificate management policies section, the policy no longer appears in the list of Active policies. The policy will no longer appear on forms where a certificate management policy is required.

If you end up needing to use a deleted certificate management policy again, you can restore it. After restoring a certificate management policy, it will appear on forms requiring a certificate management policy, such as requesting a certificate. It also reappears in the list of Active policies section on the Certificate management policies section.

  1. In the Device Trust Manager menu, go to Certificate management > Certificate settings > Certificate management policies.

  2. Select the filter icon in the Status column of the certificate management policies table.

  3. Select Deleted from the dropdown list.

All the deleted certificate management policies are listed.

  4. Select the certificate management policy you want to restore, select More actions > Restore.

When you return to the Certificate management policies section, the policy is now Active and appears in the list of certificate management policies. The policy will now appear on forms where a certificate management policy is required.
