Add Crypto4A HSM server
Connect DigiCert® Private CA to your Crypto4A hardware security module (HSM) server:
In DigiCert Private CA, from the left main menu, select HSM, then select Crypto4A.
From the left main menu, select HSM, then select Crypto4A.
Select Add HSM Server.
Available once you enable Cypto4A. Learn how to enable Crypto4A.
Enter the HSM server details.
Details include:
Host: The HSM server URL.
Port: The port number on the HSM server. This will always be 8132.
Actor: The user ID with privileges to manage the Crypto4A server.
Password: The HSM password.
Scheme: The communication protocol you want to use, like HTTPS or HTTP.
Upload the Trust Root Certificate. This is the root CA certificate that the HSM server certificate chains up to.
Select Add instance.
The Cypto4A HSM server is added. Next, you must register the HSM partitions on the server.

Once you add the Crypto4A HSM server, wait for 30 seconds and refresh your browser window to see the HSM partitions available to you. Learn how to register partitions.
