Register Crypto4A partitions
After you've added a Crypto4A hardware security module (HSM) server in DigiCert® Private CA, you can see the partitions on the HSM.
If you added the Crypto4A HSM server just now, wait for 30 seconds and refresh your browser window to see the HSM partitions.
To see your partitions and register them:
In DigiCert Private CA, from the left main menu, select HSM, then select Crypto4A.
Scroll down to Partitions, select the one you want to register, and select Register partition.
Enter partition details like how it's accessed and used.
Details include:
Partition: Lists all the available partitions on your HSM. Select the one you want to register.
API key: The API key you created during the initial setup of your HSM. This is not an API key from your DigiCert ONE account.
Display name: The name shown for the partition at HSM > Registered partitions in DigiCert Private CA.
Allowed uses: Defines a purpose of the partition, like what type of keys are stored in it. You can select multiple uses.
Security level: Defines the security level of the partition so that the HSM applies the appropriate policies on it.
Accounts that can use this HSM partition: Limits partition availability to selected accounts. You can select multiple accounts.
Select Register partition.
Your Crypto4A HSM partition is ready for use.
