API keys

An API key is a unique identifier that verifies your identity as a DigiCert ONE user when you make requests via the DigiCert ONE API or client tools. It enables secure communication between applications.

API keys have the same permissions and scope as your user profile in DigiCert ONE. Actions performed using your API key are logged under your username in the Account Manager audit logs.

To authenticate with the DigiCert ONE API, include your API key in the request header. If you prefer not to use an API key, you can use a client authentication certificate instead.

Note

If your API key expires, is deleted, or is disabled, any API integrations using it will stop working.
