Download GPG keyring
A GPG keyring is a collection of public keys used for encrypting messages and verifying digital signatures. It stores the public keys of other individuals or entities, allowing you to securely communicate or confirm the authenticity of signed data.
Download a GPG keyring
A GPG keyring contains one (or more) master key and all associated subkeys from Software Trust Manager or SMCTL.
To download a GPG keyring:
In the Software Trust menu, go to Keypairs > GPG keypairs.
Hover over the desired keypair, then select the more actions (
) icon, and then select Download keyring.To download multiple keyrings:
Above the table, select the more actions (
) icon, and then select Download keyring.Select the desired keyrings.
Hover over a selected keyring, then select Bulk actions, and then select Download keyring.
To download a GPG keyring, run:
smctl gpg keyring download <gpg master key keypair id> <gpg master key keypair id>
Review the following sample:
smctl gpg keyring download 94247aee-32ea-4e24-8cff-b4f8faefe1f9 26a2b44d-b8c0-40f6-883b-46cb6fce5445
Note
This command downloads a file named pubring.gpg under the following directories:
For Windows:
C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Roaming\gnupg\pubring.gpg
For Linux or Max:
/User/<user_name>/.gnupg/pubring.gpg
