View endpoints

From the Inventory > Endpoints page, you can view all known locations in your organization where you can install or deliver certificates, including locations with or without existing certificates.

System views

The Endpoints inventory category includes the following system views:

System view

Description

Automated (default)

All certificates currently being managed or available to be placed under management using the certificate lifecycle automation functions in Trust Lifecycle Manager.

Discovered

All certificates issued outside of your account and discovered or imported into Trust Lifecycle Manager via scans or connectors.

Unsecured

All known locations throughout your organization, including host:port targets, which do not currently have certificates installed on them or that have certificate discovery errors.

View endpoint details

To view more details about an endpoint, select the Location from the Inventory > Endpoints table. The endpoint details are organized into the following tabs, based on how the endpoint was added to your inventory and what data is available.

Description

General information

System and network parameters for the endpoint, such as:

  • IP address and port

  • Vault details

  • Hostname

  • Application

Automation

All certificate automation settings for the endpoint, including automation event schedules, certificate auto-renewal options, associated integrations, and any custom scripts to run.

  • If automation is available (Configured status) but hasn't been requested yet, you can select the Request certificate link here to set up certificate lifecycle automation for the endpoint.

  • If there is an active certificate automation request for the endpoint, you can select the See automation request details link here to open a sidebar with an automation progress tracker.

Additional details

Additional details about the endpoint, such as:

  • Business unit and metadata tags assigned to the current certificate in Trust Lifecycle Manager.

  • Discovery source and associated connector for the endpoint.

  • DigiCert agents or sensors used to manage the endpoint.

History

Filterable table of current and past certificates associated with the endpoint, including:

  • Serial number, thumbprint, and issuing CA for each certificate.

  • Certificate validity dates and current status.

  • When Trust Lifecycle Manager first saw each certificate and when it was last seen.

Notice

If a tab is not included, Trust Lifecycle Manager doesn’t have any data to display for it.

Dashboard shortcuts

Your account dashboard includes a Certificate auto-renewal widget to help you monitor and manage endpoints in your account that are scheduled to auto-renew certificates in different time windows starting from today. Select the links in this widget to load the corresponding records into Inventory > Endpoints, where you can take further action on them.
