Trust anchors
A trust anchor is a root or intermediate CA certificate that a system trusts and uses as the basis for verifying other certificates. To view current trust anchors in your account, go to Inventory > Trust stores > CA certificates. The CA certificates here help DigiCert® Trust Lifecycle Manager analyze and manage the end-entity certificates issued from these CAs to:
Evaluate certificate security and chain information more accurately.
Categorize and manage end-entity certificates by the issuing CA.
Create unique certificate lifecycle notifications per issuing CA.
Verify trusted CAs for EST client authentication.
Trust Lifecycle Manager automatically includes public CA certificates from the Mozilla trust store. To use any additional root or intermediate CA certificates, you must upload them manually.
Notice
CA certificates can also be used to manage and provision trust stores across your environment. Trust stores help distribute and maintain trusted root and intermediate CA certificates on endpoint systems. To learn more, see Trust stores management.
