Deactivate an organization

Deactivate an organization to prevent it from being used for new certificate requests without permanently removing it from your account.

Deactivate organizations

  1. In the CertCentral main menu,

    • For Enterprise, Partner, and Legacy accounts: go to Certificates > Organizations.

    • For Subscription accounts: go to Validation > Organizations.

  2. Select the organization to open the organization details page.

  3. Select Deactivate.

  4. Confirm the deactivation.

A deactivated organization cannot be used for new certificate requests. Existing certificates associated with the organization remain valid until they expire or are revoked. To reactivate the organization, contact DigiCert Support.
