The certificate template is where the customization of a certificate starts. Certificate templates provide the first step in the configuration of base certificate properties.

Extended key usages
Certificate extensions
Allowed key types
Signature algorithms
A system administrator configures the requirements, ranges, and formats for the certificates issued for your IoT devices. To create needed certificate templates for your DigiCert® IoT Trust Manager account, work with your DigiCert ONE® account representative.
