Initial setup
Customize DigiCert® Trust Lifecycle Manager for your public and private trust management needs. Below are general recommendations to help you get up and running with some of Trust Lifecycle Manager's key features.
Basic account settings
From the Account > Settings menu:
Set up an account admin as your internal support contact.
Configure the self-service portal so users can request and manage their own certificates.
Add your own branding to the self-service portal and Trust Lifecycle Manager user interface.
Trust management environment
Set up your digital trust management and operating environment:
Create business units to organize your digital trust assets.
Allocate seats to your business units to enroll and manage certificates in each.
Add connectors to integrate your systems and resources with Trust Lifecycle Manager so you can manage everything in one place.
Discovery and imports
Discover and import your existing digital trust assets into Trust Lifecycle Manager to be monitored and managed there:
Use connectors to import certificates from external systems.
Configure discovery tools to find digital trust assets throughout your organization.
Use the API to upload certificates from private issuing CAs outside of DigiCert.
Certificate issuance
Connect to your issuing certificate authorities (CAs) and create certificate profiles so you can start requesting new certificates from Trust Lifecycle Manager:
Your private issuing CAs in DigiCert® CA Manager are always available and do not require additional connectivity.
Add CA connectors to import and request certificates from issuing CAs outside of DigiCert® CA Manager.
Create certificate profiles for different issuing CAs and certificate enrollment scenarios you need.
Certificate lifecycle automation
Set up automation to help manage your certificate deployments:
Use the managed automation solution to manage certificates on web servers, network appliances, cloud services, and vaults directly from the Trust Lifecycle Manager web console.
Use third-party ACME clients to automate certificate management from the command-line interface (CLI) on your web servers.
Use the REST API to create your own custom integrations and automation solutions.
