Update division access
Restrict or expand the divisions a user can access when divisions are enabled in your account.
Division restrictions limit visibility and management to the selected divisions.
Division restrictions apply to administrative roles. An administrator restricted to specific divisions cannot manage users or settings outside those divisions.
A user must have both:
A role that permits the action
Access to the division where the action occurs
Removing division access can prevent actions, even when the assigned role remains unchanged.
Before you begin
You must have Administrator access to update division settings.
Division restrictions apply to all roles including administrative ones. A restricted administrator cannot manage users or settings outside their assigned divisions.
Notice
Division scope works in combination with role scope. A user must have both a role that permits the action and access to the division where the action occurs. Removing division access can prevent actions even when the assigned role remains unchanged.
Update division access
In the CertCentral main menu, go to Account > Users.
Select the user you want to update.
Under Division settings, select or clear the divisions the user can access
Select Update user.
Changes take effect immediately.
