Configure guest access for a certificate order
Configure guest access to allow external users to request certificates through a guest URL without requiring a CertCentral account. Guest access is useful for organizations that need to provide certificate ordering capability to users outside their CertCentral account.
Before you begin
You must have Administrator access to configure guest access settings.
Guest access must be enabled at the account level before it can be configured for individual orders.
Guest URL and guest access requests always require administrator approval regardless of the skip approval setting.
Enable guest access for your account
In the CertCentral main menu, go to Account > Guest Access.
On the Guest access page, in the Guest access section, select Enable.
Configure the following settings as required:
Additional emails: Select Required to make additional email addresses mandatory on guest access request forms.
Default division: Select the division to assign guest access requests to.
Select Save.
Configure guest access eligibility
Control which certificate types and products are available through guest access:
In the CertCentral main menu, go to Account > Guest Access.
Under Guest access eligibility, select the certificate types to make available to guest users.'
Select Save.
Configure revocation controls for guest access
Control whether guest users can request certificate revocations:
In the CertCentral menu, go to Account > Guest Access.
Under Revocation controls, configure the revocation permissions for guest users.
Select Save.
Disable guest access for an individual order
To prevent guest access for a specific certificate order:
In the CertCentral main menu, go to Certificates > Orders.
Select the order number to open the Order details page.
In the Order details section, select Disable guest access.
Select Confirm.
Guest access is disabled for the selected order. Existing guest access links for the order become inactive.
Notice
Guest URL and guest access certificate requests always require administrator approval before DigiCert processes the order. The skip approval step setting does not apply to guest access requests.
