Revoke a client certificate

To revoke a client certificate, the certificate owner or administrator submits a revocation request. An administrator must approve the request before DigiCert revokes the certificate.

Avertissement

Revoking a certificate cannot be undone. Confirm the request is valid before proceeding.

Request a client certificate revocation

Notice

An administrator must approve your revocation request before DigiCert can revoke the certificate.

  1. In the CertCentral main menu, go to Certificates > Orders.

  2. Select the order number for the client certificate to revoke.

  3. On the Order details page, select Revoke certificate.

  4. On the Request to revoke certificate page, in the Reason for revocation box, enter the reason for the revocation request.

  5. Select Request revocation.

Your revocation request is submitted for administrator approval. DigiCert revokes the certificate after an administrator approves the request.

Approve a client certificate revocation request

Administrators can approve pending client certificate revocation requests from the Requests page.

  1. In the CertCentral main menu, go to Certificates > Requests.

  2. In the Status dropdown, select Pending.

  3. In the Type dropdown, select Revoke.

  4. Select Go.

  5. Select the order number for the revocation request to approve.

  6. On the Order details page, select Approve.

  7. In the Approve request window, enter an approval comment.

  8. Select Approve.
