Install DigiCert Trust Lifecycle Manager on ServiceNow
Follow these steps to install the DigiCert Trust Lifecycle Manager app on ServiceNow.
Before you begin
In ServiceNow, you need admin privileges to install the DigiCert Trust Lifecycle Manager app.
In DigiCert ONE, you need an account with:
Access to the DigiCert ONE Trust Lifecycle Manager application.
Required seat types assigned. The seat types you need depend on the types of certificates you plan to request through ServiceNow. To learn more, see Create certificate profiles.
You need an API key in DigiCert ONE to use for integrating with your ServiceNow instance.
To create a new API key with the required permissions:
Sign in to DigiCert ONE.
Navigate to the Profile icon (top right) > Admin Profile > Access > Service User.
Select Create service user and follow the instructions on the page.
For DigiCert ONE Manager access, select CA and Trust Lifecycle.
Select Next.
On the Roles and permissions page, assign the following user roles.
For CA Manager: Read only.
For Trust Lifecycle Manager: User and certificate manager and Certificate profile manager. To use the CMDB integration features, also assign the CMDB Integration Config Manager role.
Select Add user.
Remember to copy the key to a safe location.
To install the DigiCert Trust Lifecycle Manager app:
In ServiceNow, navigate to System Applications > All Available Applications > All.
In the main page’s search field, type DigiCert.
Navigate to the DigiCert Trust Lifecycle Manager application’s listing and select Install.
To finish setup and connect the ServiceNow app to your DigiCert ONE account:
In ServiceNow, open the newly installed DigiCert Trust Lifecycle Manager app.
Enter your DigiCert ONE API key in the API key input.
In the application environment dropdown, select the applicable environment for your DigiCert account location.
Select the Set up account button to finish and connect the app to your DigiCert account using the API key you entered.
If the connection is successful, you receive a confirmation message verifying that you can now access your DigiCert account data from ServiceNow.
If there is a problem with the connection, you are prompted to try again with a different API key. Make sure you entered the API key correctly and it is configured with the correct permissions as described in Step 1. After re-entering the key, select the Set up account button to try connecting again.

You can verify the connection or update the DigiCert ONE API key at any time by selecting API key configuration from the DigiCert Trust Lifecycle Manager app navigation menu in ServiceNow.
