Understand the environments in DigiCert ONE
An environment is an isolated workspace within your DigiCert ONE account. Each environment has its own products, configurations, integrations, and certificate workflows.
Every environment belongs to a specific region and has an environment type, such as Production or Demo. You can create multiple environments to support different operational, geographic, or testing requirements.
Products, licenses, and configurations in one environment are independent of those in another environment. Enabling the same product in production and demo, two production environments one with United States data residency and another for Europe creates separate environment-specific configurations.

└── Trust LifecycleWhy organizations use multiple environments
You can use environments to separate:
Production workflows from testing or demonstration workflows
Different data-residency or regional requirements
Product configurations that must remain operationally isolated
Different sets of licenses, integrations, and certificate workflows
Users continue to sign in to the same DigiCert account. Their permissions determine which environments they can access.
Suggerimento
An environment is not a separate login or customer account. It is an isolated workspace within your existing DigiCert account.

Nota
The Oracle Cloud environment is an alternative production deployment in the United States. It is not a separate geographic region and is available only to organizations provisioned to use it.

Production and Demo environments
Production environment
A production environment supports live operational workflows in supported regions. Depending on your configuration, it can use:
CertCentral for publicly trusted certificates
DigiCert Private CA for privately trusted certificates
One or more DigiCert products
Demo environment
A demo environment is used for testing, evaluation, or non-production workflows in supported regions. In the environment model described here, demo workflows use DigiCert Private CA for private trust rather than requesting publicly trusted certificates from CertCentral.
How many components can an environment have?
An environment can have:
One configuration of each enabled product
One configuration of DigiCert Private CA
Multiple CertCentral instances
The same CertCentral instance can be connected to more than one production environment. This makes CertCentral different from products and Private CA which are environment-bound.
