Manage enrollments

From the Inventory > Enrollments page in DigiCert​​®​​ Trust Lifecycle Manager, you can manage all the certificate enrollment requests in your account, including those that use the Enrollment Code or Manual Approval authentication methods. First load the applicable records, then use the integrated actions to manage individual enrollment requests or multiple requests in bulk.

Manage enrollments in inventory

To manage certificate enrollment requests in your inventory:

  1. In the Trust Lifecycle Manager menu, go to Inventory > Enrollments.

  2. (Optional) Select a view from the Views dropdown.

  3. Manage one or more enrollment requests in the current view:

    • To manage a single enrollment, select actions from the rightmost table column. Or, open the enrollment and select the actions from the top-right of the details page.

    • To bulk manage multiple enrollments, select them in the table and then select a bulk action from the table header.

Available management actions

Available management actions depend on the authentication method plus the enrollment status, CA type (private or public), and your user role. The following sections present the possible actions by authentication method.

For all enrollments, you can:

Review enrollment

View the enrollment details. Alternatively, select the Seat ID for the enrollment to view the details.

View audit trail

View the audit logs for the enrollment.

For enrollments that use the Enrollment Code authentication method, you can:

View the enrollment code and URL (private CAs only).

Reset enrollment

Reactivate an expired enrollment code.

Unlock enrollment

Unlock an enrollment that has been locked due to the maximum number of authentication attempts being exceeded.

For enrollments that use the Manual Approval authentication method, you can:

Approve an enrollment request.

Reject enrollment

Reject an enrollment request.

Resend enrollment

Resend an enrollment request.

Resend approval email

Resend the approval email for an enrollment request.

For manual approval enrollments with Pending status, additional management actions are available from the Enrollment details page:

Change status

Use the dropdown at the top of the Enrollment details section to change the enrollment status between Pending and In Progress. The latter status indicates the enrollment approval is being worked on and disables pending alerts in the meantime.

Add internal notes

Use the button in the Internal notes section to add comments about the status of the enrollment approval process. These notes are only visible to other admins in Trust Lifecycle Manager.

Use the REST API to manage enrollments

The REST API service of Trust Lifecycle Manager includes endpoints for managing enrollment requests in your account. Use the API to perform these actions programmatically and integrate them into your custom workflows.
