Create an IP restriction rule
Create a rule to define which IP addresses can access your CertCentral account, a specific user, an API key, or a Guest URL.
Before you begin
You must have Administrator access to create IP restriction rules.
IP restrictions must be enabled before rules take effect. See Enable IP restrictions.
Important
Rules take effect immediately after saving. When creating an Account Wide rule, CertCentral displays your current IP address on the page. Include this address in the rule. Any IP address not covered loses access immediately.
Add an IP restriction rule
In the CertCentral main menu, select Settings > IP Restrictions.
Select Add New Rule.
Under Restriction type, select one of the following:
Account Wide: applies to all account access
All Guest URLs: applies to all Guest URL access
User: then select the specific user from the menu
API key: then select the specific API key from the menu
Guest URL: then select the specific Guest URL from the menu
In IP range start, enter the starting IP address.
In IP range end, enter the ending IP address. To restrict access to a single IP address, enter the same address in both fields.
In Description, enter a name that identifies the rule. Use a description that makes the rule easy to find if you need to remove it.
Select Add Rule.
The rule takes effect immediately and blocks access from any IP address outside the specified range.
