Configure automatic renewal notifications
Configure renewal notifications to alert users before a certificate expires. Notifications are particularly useful when automated renewal is disabled for a certificate or when renewal requires manual intervention.
Notice
When automated renewal is enabled for a certificate or automation profile, renewal notifications may not be sent because the certificate renews automatically. Configure notifications as a fallback for certificates where automation is not active.
Enable renewal notifications
In the CertCentral main menu, go to Settings > Notifications.
Expand Advanced notification settings.
In Certificate lifecycle recipient settings, enable the renewal notification option for the relevant certificate type.
Select Save settings.
CertCentral sends renewal notifications to configured recipients before certificate expiration.
Notification behavior
Notification timing and recipients depend on the notification configuration in CertCentral. Notifications provide advance warning that a certificate is approaching expiration so recipients can take action if automated renewal does not complete.
