Junk characters appear in Excel output

Problem: Junk characters appear when a report opens in Excel.

Reason: Junk characters can appear when a CSV-format report opens in Excel due to encoding conversion.

Solution: Open the report's Excel file > next to in the top menu, click the button > select the CSV file and click the button > choose > click . Open the report's Excel file. Next to Data in the top menu, select  From Text/CSV. Select the CSV file, select Import, choose Unicode (UTF-8), then select Load.
